📌 Save for Offline Use
This file works entirely offline — no internet needed after saving.
1
AirDrop or email the .html file to your iPhone/iPad
2
Tap the file — it opens in Safari (use Safari, not Chrome)
3
Tap the Share button (box with arrow) at the bottom
4
Scroll down → tap "Add to Home Screen"
5
Name it and tap Add — launches like an app, works offline
⚠ Must open in Safari — Chrome on iOS cannot add to Home Screen from local files. The file stays in your Files app at On My iPhone › Downloads as a backup.
1
Download or transfer the .html file to your device
2
Open Chrome → tap the address bar → type file:///sdcard/Download/ and navigate to the file
3
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) → "Add to Home screen"
4
Tap Add — shortcut appears on your home screen
💡 Alternatively: open the file with Firefox for Android via your file manager app — it handles local HTML files more reliably than Chrome on some devices.
1
Save the file somewhere permanent (Documents, not Downloads — Downloads may get cleared)
2
Open the file in Safari or Chrome — double-click or drag to browser
3
Press ⌘ D to bookmark it, or drag the URL bar tab to your Dock / desktop
4
Safari tip: File → Add to Dock — creates a standalone app-like launcher in your Dock
💡 To sync to iPhone: save in iCloud Drive and open in Safari on iOS → Add to Home Screen.
1
Save the file somewhere permanent (Documents folder recommended)
2
Open in Chrome or Edge — double-click the file
3
Press Ctrl + D to bookmark, or drag the icon from the address bar to your desktop/taskbar
4
Edge tip: Apps → Install this site as an app — creates a standalone window launcher
💡 Edge handles local HTML files best on Windows — Chrome may prompt about file access on some versions.
